Introduction

Elfquest is the creation of Wendy and Richard Pini. It is a long-running and award-winning series of independent fantasy comics and graphic novels (and some spin-off novels and games). This is a synopsis of the entire Elfquest saga as it has been revealed so far, to tie all of the various Elfquest stories together into a continuous whole, and for a quick reference of the major events throughout the saga. 

• If you've read all the stories and just want a refresher, the Mini-Synopsis is a good way to go.
• If you are reading the synopsis instead of a particular comic series, it's best to read the detailed individual section for that series.  Or you can read the full comics in chronological order. 
• If you have never read Elfquest and want to, I do NOT recommend reading the synopsis! All of the Elfquest comics are available to read online for free at Elfquest.com. But for the best reading experience, read them in print! 
  • Color (my favorite): A 4-volume collection of the first 20 issues, known as The Original Quest, is now available. Many of the other issues can be bought secondhand in colored collections; you can find their names here and then look for them on eBay or the like.
  • Black and white: The Complete Elfquest is a collection of the entire series, available now.

​The comic books which tell each particular part of the story are referenced in parentheses. Some stories have been reprinted in various volumes; only the original comic in which the story appears is referenced.
